New Ownership and End of an Era in Fine Jewelry
The reins of the business have officially been passed on to Jessica Harmison-Olson and Ryan Olson. This marks the end of an era for Rick and Jane McElvaine, who owned and operated the business since 1994.
Introducing Maxon’s New Owners
Jessica Harmison-Olson, a finance graduate from Missouri State University and a registered jeweler, joined the Maxon team in 2016. From the start, she brought her years of experience in accounting and a deep passion for the jewelry industry.
Over the years, Jessica and her husband incrementally bought into the business. In February of this year, they finalized the full purchase of Maxon Fine Jewelry from the McElvaines.
The McElvaine’s Legacy
Rick and Jane McElvaine, both accredited gemologists, have been integral to Maxon Fine Jewelry’s success.
They worked tirelessly to develop Maxon’s hard-earned reputation as a merchant that provides quality pieces and exceptional customer service. Likewise, they established Maxon as the home of unique pieces that cannot be found elsewhere.
Guided for Success
As they pass the torch to the new owners, Rick and Jane are confident their legacy is in good hands. Jessica and Ryan will maintain the same high customer service and care McElvaines has upheld for nearly three decades.
For Jessica, joining Maxon Fine Jewelry was a dream come true. She was able to combine her love for jewelry and her desire to provide quality pieces with her passion for working in the Springfield business community. Her hands-on experience working closely with Rick and Jane has prepared her well for the challenge of leading Maxon Fine Jewelry into the future.
Transitioning with Support
As for Rick and Jane, they are not completely stepping away just yet. They will be around to help and support in any way they can and continue to provide mentorship to Jessica and Ryan as they transition into their new roles. However, Rick and Jane have transitioned to part-time to allow for more time to relax and travel before officially retiring.
